In relation to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we are following the latest guidance from the Adelaide Footy League and taking extra precautions to ensure the safety of players and members during trainings and trial games. As a result, the senior footy season will be delayed until 13th June, pending a review of the COVID-19 situation in May.

As a club, we have taken the step of cancelling/postponing ALL trainings, trial games and club events until Monday 6th April, at which point we will reconvene to reassess the situation. This includes all junior and senior trainings, all trial games, all Auskick sessions, and all club events.

This decision has not been made lightly, but we are confident that we are acting in the best interests of our members, players, supporters and the broader community and have made this decision after consultation with all the necessary evidence regarding best practice at this time. The welfare of our players, members and community is the foremost priority in our minds at this time.

We encourage all our club community to stay safe and to reach out if there is anything we can do to help lend our support over the next few weeks.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch any time if you have any questions –

Register now to play at Payneham in 2020!

The Payneham Norwood Union Football Club is thrilled to announce the appointment of former Norwood Captain and Melbourne Demon Jace Bode as Senior Coach for the 2020 season. Jace will act as a playing coach, with Garry McIntosh as an assistant and bench coach. Macca will also become the full time coach of the Reserves in season 2020 and will continue coaching our junior footballers. Jace will also be assisted by Ben Hunt, alongside his role as our Senior Women’s Coach.

The Club owes an immeasurable debt of gratitude to Garry and his family for his 15 years as our senior coach including 5 senior premierships culminating in this year’s division one premiership. Garry’s selflessness in permitting and the assisting the club speaks measures as to his integrity and commitment to the club. Equally, Jace is thrilled to be able to have the benefit of Garry’s experience as an Assistant Coach.

We’re very excited to welcome Jace to the club and will benefit from his substantial experience at AFL and SANFL level. We’re equally as lucky to welcome Jace’s wife Natalie, former captain of the Australian netball team and world championship player. We trust that everyone will make Jace, Natalie and their daughters Maddie and Milla feel welcome.
