He coached the Under 18 team to a premiership 2014.
Scott Direen, ex Sydney Swans and Norwood player, continues to assist Garry in 2015. Scott coaches the Reserves and has been Garry’s assistant on the training track and on match days for the previous 6 seasons. Scott steered the Reserves into a Grand Final in Division 2R in 2014. Chris Drage, a former A Grade Assistant Coach at the Athelstone Football Club and junior parent has been appointed as C Grade Coach to lead the side’s team competing in Division 8 in 2014. Payneham Norwood Union Football Club has a committee-based structure. In addition there is a junior co-ordinator assisted by a junior committee overseeing and managing junior football operations. Along with Garry McIntosh the Club promotes a policy of appointing experienced and accredited coaches for each of the junior teams. As well as a coach, each junior team has a dedicated team manager to assist as well as the involvement of many of the parents within team to fill other responsibilities such as ground Marshall, goal umpire, time keeping, etc.
