The Payneham Norwood Union Football Club proudly introduced women’s football in 2018, with an inaugural Division 2 Senior Women’s Team and 2 Junior Girl’s Teams. In 2019, PNUFCW expanded with an additional Division 5 Senior Women’s Reserves Team, who made it through to the finals. After just 2 years in the South Australian Women’s Football League, the Division 2 Senior Women’s team went undefeated and won the 2019 Premiership.
Since 2020, the Senior Women’s team has competed in Division 1, making it to the grand final in 2020, 2021, 2023 and winning the Premiership in 2024!
Our Division 1 Reserves side played in the Grand Final in 2024 too.
In 2025, we hope to expand our women’s program and increase female participation rates especially across junior teams. We strive to provide a safe and supportive environment for female footballers at a variety of skill and confidence levels. The senior women will be led by Garry McIntosh. The Reserves will be coached by Cass Scott.
